My customer is running CE6.1.0 and has the following problem:
How we found the problem:
He asked his appointment setter (secretary) why she hadn't entered some of his planned calls. She said she did. He went to "Calls", clicked on View Calls, selected Advanced Search (like he does daily) sorted by Outbound, and left the remaining fields blank and selected to show calls assigned to his username. This is a daily process for him. The call didn't show up.
She said she'd entered the call and was sure of it, so he goes to the general search (upper right search box) and enters the name and presses search. The Lead's name is the only one in the list. The following screen shows Opportunities, Tasks, Notes, Meetings, Contacts, Accounts, and Calls, all with a "0" beside them, indicating no results.
If he clicks the name of the Leadon the search result screen and it dislays the Lead Overview screen. If he expands the "Activities" section at the bottom of the lead, the call is there. I've compared this call to other calls set by the secretary on the same date. Some are showing up in search results and others aren't. I logged in as the admin and set calls for him, assigning them to the same lead name. Those also showed up. Other calls also set by the secretary show up for that day, preceding days, and future days, but three or four calls simply do not appear int he advanced search results.
This client depends on SugarCE to make hundreds of calls and appointments per week and we can find no differences between calls that DO show up in search results and calls that DON'T.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I tried to clearly articulate this in text, but I could provide screenshots of the entire scenario if needed.
Please let me know if anyone here has any ideas how to remedy or troubleshoot this. We've already repaired the database, repaired the calls and meetings, and seen no difference in the search results.
The concern is that we need to know CE is dependably recording meetings and calls. Luckily he caught this error himself, but it could have easily slipped his mind. Please advise.
