Sortable Custom Fields???

I've run into an issue I can't seem to find a solution to.

I have no problem creating custom fields in the studio module, but I can't figure out how to enable the list view to sort by this custom field. The double arrow in the column heading is not there. Is this something I must add to the php files? I am familiar with PHP / mySQL . I can't seem to find the code that controls this, though. Any help would be appreciated.


Sugar 5.0 running on apache under windows 2000.

Never mind! I just found it.


For anyone else wondering, there is an entire modules section under custom in the sugarce5 root with the php files that override default php files in the modules, i'm assuming?

Just changed sortable from false to true under my custom field.

Saw this effect earlier today. Thanks for the heads up!

For others: look at custom/modules/ModuleName/metadata/listviewdefs.php.

Better still, I think custom fields should automatically set to sortable as I think they were with 4.5.1x. I will raise a Support case.

Thanks for these posts - I was about to give up on Sugar.

I still have a problem though searching Custom Relate Fields, For example, I have created two modules in module builder and one has a relate field to another. It is that relate field that I'm trying to seach on but each time there are no results.

It this a bug that anyone is aware of?
