Default Special characters with Ajexa 2.0

I use Ajexa 2.0 module installed on Sugar CRM 4.5.1e. After overcoming some bugs in relation with missing table columns Ajexa is working smoothly and the functionality is very attractive. The problem I am facing is with special characters (Cyrilic in my case) in e-mails or web forms. All such characters appear as question marks when published through the Ajexa Server. The characters seem to be stored correctly in the database as unicode. Does FCK Editor configuration can help or the problem is entirely in the ajexa server code?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Special characters with Ajexa 2.0

Additional info. I tried to modify the connection URL for mySQL connector J in Ajexa server (in hibernate.cfg.xml file). Now it looks like: jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/test?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=Cp1251

After deployment of the Ajexa diagnostics says the server is running ok with the new string, but that does not affect the problem with question marks.

Can anyone engaged in Ajexa server give a hint?
