SQL database not available...

Hello,

I decided to experience your open source product. But I faced the problem while trying to configure the program.
In third SugarCRM instaliation window i see that SQL Server Database is not available. Everything else is green (ok).

I‘m using PHP 4.4.4 and MySQL 4.0.27. Actually, I can not change versions because server is on internet provider side and he has had prefered such versions.

So I would like to ask, how can fix this problem? I downloaded Beta Sugarcrm (4.5.1) version. Should I use the older one or there are others more flexible ways to downgrade my instaliation?

Any advice will be helpful.

Hi arunas, I'm not sure exactly where you downloaded Sugar but from www.SugarOpenSource.org's Download tab you should see the following (see picture).

Did you download the item highlighted in the picture below?

It appears you may have downloaded Sugar for MSSQL -- the version of Sugar that runs on Microsoft SQL Server database -- rather than the version of Sugar that runs on MySQL.

I believe you have to use Sugar 4.2.x
Doesn't Sugar 4.5 require MySQL 4.1?

Ah ha! Found it in the manual. You'll have to get 4.2

Ensure that the following requirements are met before you install Sugar Suite 4.5.
If you are using MySQL, install version 4.1.2 or higher to use with Sugar Suite 4.5.
