Standardized Input for Phone Numbers

Hello. I would like to apply an input filter that would reformat the phone number to a US Standard (123) 123-1234. Is there an easy way to do this?

Also I checked the administrator manuals and they do not cover this type of functionality can someone point me in the right direction to find answers to customization questions like this?

Hello Kelie,

we offer a phone number formatter plugin for sale on our shopping site, shop.intelestream.net. Once implemented, this would force phone number formatting for any NEW phone numbers entered into the system. Any old data would need to be normalized in your database so they would all appear correctly (there is no easy way around this).
