    Default Step 7 Install

This is getting frustrating, I have tried to install 4.5 four times and 4.5b two times and it keeps stalling on Step 7. I have read almost every post regarding tweaking settings within the php.ini and other files but to no avail..

I wonder if I should just install 4.21 and try to upgrade it. Any help would be appreciated. The following is all of the required information.

PHP Version OK (ver 5.0.4 ) MySQL Database OK
    MB Strings Module
    OK
    XML Parsing
    OK
PHP Safe Mode Turned Off OK
PHP Allow Call Time Pass Reference Turned On
    OK
PHP Memory Limit >= 32M OK
    (Unlimited)
Writable SugarCRM Configuration File (config.php) OK
    Writable Custom Directory
OK Writable Modules Sub-Directories and Files OK Writable Data Sub-Directories OK Writable Cache Sub-Directories OK Writable Session Save Path (/tmp) OK

    Linux 2.6.8-022stab067.1-enterprise
    FedoraCore 4
    MySQL 4.1.20
    Apache 2.0 Handler

I am at a total loss here????

This is the error I get every time:

    Creating Sugar configuration file (config.php)

Creating Sugar application tables, audit tables, and relationship metadata...

I know that bumping or adding is not good forum etiquette but I checked MySQL database and no tables were created, if that helps in anyway.

    Thanks.

Is there any other error message in the sugarcrm.log(at the SugarCRM root directory) file or apache log file(error.log)?

I am a novice at finding that info. I can use Putty or another SSH client to get and view my root directory to view and change anything. Its just finding that info, I can however follow instructions.

Not a Linux/Unix user so the vi commands are a bit of a mystery.

I know it cant be this difficult, I am missing something??

    Thanks in advance...

Well I think its time to give up on this...

Would have been a good addition to our company

I tried to install Version 4.2.1b and it stops on step 6 just like in step 7 for the 4.5b version. (full install)

This is the message that it stops and stalls at.
    Creating Sugar configuration file (config.php)

I feel this is a good product but we don't want to spend all this time trying to get this app installed.

    Thanks

    Dont give up!

Check your directory permissions for the apache user can write to them.
That is what this looks like to me. also check the permissions for all files to be writable by apache if you want to upgrade from a browser.

Your cache directory in sugarcrm needs to be writable as this is where the attachments and documents are stored.

Try increasing the script memory limit in your php.ini to 98M
    This worked for me.
