Strage drop down list behaviors...

Running Professional Version 4.2.1b...

I have some quesitons surrounding drop down lists in this version of sugar. I have two seperate issues and If anyone has any ideas/thoughts I thank you in advance for sharing them wiht me.

Issue #1: Whenever I try to add a drop down list to the User module it adds the label but not the values. So I have the field on the screen but the drop down menu is blank. I have tired it with mutliple lists and different key/value combinations. I really do not want to mess with the code on this behind the scenes on this one if possible. Has anyone seen this issue before?

Issue #2: In Admin > Edit Custom Fields you are given the option to make a field Required and to create a deafault value for the drop down list. I have done this to a number of drop down lists but it does not work. No red astrik appears on the edit screen and no default value. Again has anyone seen this issue?

I would recommend upgrading to 4.5.0e, this version has resolved some similar issues we were having.

At this point our client is not ready to make the leap to 4.5. Thanks for the advice.

Sugar support...is upgrading to 4.5 the only way to get the product to do what they are paying for it to do?
