Strange character in MY PIPELINE table

Hi,
i have installed SugarCRM 4.5.0d (+ patch) in my suse linux 10
apache2-2.0.54-10
php4-4.4.0-6
mysql-4.1.13-3
I have a strange character in MY PIPELINE table
in the title (Pipeline total is €0.00K) and under the tables ( €0 €0 €0 €0 €0)
How can i resolve this problem?

Hi,

I guess you are talking about the Currency symbol. Via locale Ssettings in Admin or My Account you need to enter the currency symbol in Unicode i.e. for € try "& # 8 3 6 4 ;" without the spaces).

That's odd (is this a bug?) because I have just entered "& # 8 3 5 6" and I get "Pipeline total is £0.00K". The correct currency sign is shown in the window on the setup page once I have pressed save, but in the home page it is still incorrect, as shown above in the home page, and "Pipeline total is ₤1.20K" on the pipeline page.

Had the same issue - not even with a symbol but with EUR and HUF respectively. I went into settings again and simply typed over it, saved and it was back to normal. I suspect that it is somehow connected to the theme you use. But that's a wild guess only. My DB was utf8 right from the beginning.

Hi,

After making the change you have to refresh the My Pipeline Dashlet or Dashboard manually for the change to take effect. Another option is via Admin -> Repair --> Clear Dashlet Cache

Typing over it again makes no difference nor does changing the them or refresshing the Dashlet cache.
