I have spent the past week on a development site and have a good understanding of the technical side of Sugar. i.e. custom fields, adding drop downs, etc. My background is more from the technical side and I am struggling with a few sales concepts and how best to implement them.
I am hoping someone might be able to assist me in the development? Here's what I am thinking so far:
1. Leads are created in CRM, either manually or via email plugin.
2. Leads are contacted and those who show potential interest are converted to contacts, accounts, opportunities.
3. There are multiple locations and I would like the Account to represent the location of potential attendance.
4. I do not fully understand the Opportunity module. Is it feasible to have the Opportunity be the course of attendance? In my initial development, this doesn't seem to flow well. If this would work, I would create a list of courses and have the reps use a drop down list to select the course, which would auto-populate cost and allow rep to select from a list of course start dates.
If someone would be so kind as to let me know if this seems to be a functional config, I would appreciate it, or any other suggestions you may have.
Many Thanks,
Brian
