I have been using Sugar for quit a while and adding custom fields to the Cases module. I have had a need to create a lot of fields (612 total). Everything had been going along fine until yesterday when I created an additional 40 fields and then had issues in Studio placing the fields in the appropriate TABS that I had created. I went to Admin and tried to run the Repair ...Quick Repair and Rebuild. When I click on the Quick Repair ...it shows me items it had cleared out ...but at the bottom it said: "Differences found between database and vardefs" and in a box showed the 40 fields I had just created and I have the option to Execute or Export. I click Execute and it says there was a Database error and check the Sugarcrm.log file for details. I check the log file and it shows the following:
Wed Oct 12 18:55:32 2011 [2347][1] [FATAL] MySQL error 1118: Row size too large. The maximum row size for the used table , not counting BLOBs, is 65535. You have to change some columns to TXT or BLOBs
Do I have any options to get around this besides deleting custom fields (which I can not do) or switching to a different database ...or changing my custom fields. (I have quite a few that are Textarea and Textfield).
