Studio draws a blank

Hello all, I'm new to SugarCRM. I've been assigned to manage SugarCRM so I need to get up to speed rather quickly and the best way to do that is to do my own installation on a junk domain.

My problem is when I want to use Sugar Studio, the screen is a blank. I see that it's an unresolved issue on another thread but I'm posting here because I am not sure if I'm in the same boat as they.

This is my error message from IE 6 :

Sugar Open Source 5.0g (I went through the installer steps with data loaded)
Webhosting: HostGator - resller account (shared, definitely not VPS or Dedi)
Installed on Linux with MSQL and PHP Version 5.2.6 at HostGator
DNS - GoDaddy
php.ini issue - resolved at HG with 40MB upload limit

I hope I've given enough information to identify the problem.

Did you test under FireFox 2?
Do you have access to apache's log files? Especially the error_log?

The log files showed that index.php was missing in the root.

But since I've already installed SugarCRM in the subdomain, HostGator put in a redirect.

I'm still seeing the same error message.

I'm so tempted to install SugarCRM in the root, however, my employer has placed SugarCRM in the subdomain so I must learn how to get it to work properly.

I am wondering that I may have installed Sugar before the subdomain was propagated properly.

Is there something I need to modify, such as config.php, etc?

Or just reinstall (minus data this time)?

Update: On a lark that the subdomain was giving me problems, I installed SugarCRM at root at another domain and this time Studio works.

So, never mind. My current problem is solved but I have a hutch I will be back at this forum for subdomain troubleshooting.
