[STUDIO] How to create a related field that depends on a dropdown list

Hello, I need to add some modifications to the call module. For now everything is fine, but I need to add a field related to determine if the call has produced a new contact, a new call, a task, etc. It is something very usual in a standar clean installation of SugarCRM. Here you can see an image:



I can create the related field, but it can only be related to the area I choose when I create the field, ie "contacts".

I have also created a dropdown list item 'parent_type_display', but I´m not able to establish a relation between the list and the related field.

Can someone give me a light about how to do this?

In Studio there's a fieldtype called "Flex Relate" I don't know what the translation is in ES. That's the field you want.

Hello matthew, thanks for answer.
When I go to Admin > Studio > Calls > Fields > Add field, I cant see in the 'Data type' list the option 'Flex Relate'.

I have found a thread in the forum where jyim says:

Just to clarify, the Flex Relate option for custom fields appears only for modules that do not already have a default parent_id field.

The modules that contain parent_id fields by default are Accounts, Calls, Meetings, Notes and Tasks.

Once you create a Flex Relate field for any of the other modules, and this creates a parent type field in the fields_meta_data table, the Flex Relate option will no longer be available for new custom fields for that module.

Is there any way to avoid this restriction? Can someone figure out how to avoid it?
