Studio layout not recognized after upgrade

Hi!

After upgrading from 4.2.0d to 4.5.0h, the DetailView for the Opportunities module in Studio only shows the default layout (i.e. none of our 50+ custom fields show up there).

The EditView is fine with all customizations and custom fields, it's only the DetailView that has a problem. So I overwrote the two files /modules/Opportunities/DetailView.html and /modules/Opportunities/DetailView.html.sbk with fully customized versions from my local pre-upgrade test version (where Studio can load the custom layout just fine!). They produce the desired result when I view an opportunity, but in Studio, only the default layout is loaded.

Now I would like to add a custom field, but I can't make any changes to the DetailView without having to redo all the 50+ custom fields. Is there a solution to this? I figured that maybe Studio thinks that the DetailView.html is broken, and reverts to the version in the /tpls folder? But how could I find out what I need to fix then?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm still a novice at this but have you tried clearing out your working copy? Sugar stores a copy of those files in the custom directory until you publish them. Look under custom/modules/ModuleName there will be duplicates of any files sugar things you've saved but not yet published. If there is a file there simply delete it while you are logged out of sugar. Log back in and it will take the file from the modules/ModuleName directory instead.

I had a very similar issue to yours and this was what fixed it for me. Hope that helps.

Did you try the function in Admin -> Repair -_ Studio to convert the dialogs to 4.5? I will being doing a similar migration this week from 4.2.0b and would like to know whether this works.

Hi,

I was pretty sure I had done all the Repair stuff there was. But I did "Admin - Repair - Upgrade Studio" again, and now I can also edit the DetailView. Thanks for the hint!
