Studio Problem -- adding column in Accounts module

We're having a problem with Studio while trying to add a 'title' column to the contacts subpanel of the accounts module. The idea here is that we simple want to se the titles of the contacts for a given account. Looks like this should be a simple task with Studio, however, it gives me a few errors and we can't seem to get around it.

Here's what we're doing:

Admin > Studio > Edit Mdule > Accounts > Edit Layout > Subpanels:Contacts > Add Columns

After clicking "Add Columns" we get a browser alert dialog saying:

"Any changes will go unsaved, are you sure you would like to continue?"

Once I click "OK" it does add a new column, but if I try to click "edit" on it I get this error:

"Error retrieving record. This record may be deleted or you may not be authorized to view it."

This has us stumped. I've trying doing this as the main admin user and as other users with admin rights. We've also verified that everything is chowned to apache so it's hard to see how it would be permissions related even though the errors seem to point that way. Other studio functions seem to work, I've changed various things before but never added a column.

Hi,

Why do you want to click edit? I tried the same thing and after adding the column, I clicked Save and Publish. Even if I don't click Save and Publish and directly click Edit then, it takes me to the Edit View page of that subpanel (Contacts in this case).

I think there is something that you have missed while posting the problem in forum or you are doing something wrong. Try this thing once again and observe everything. If you have to just add a column in it, then that can be done by a simple drag and drop.

Let me know what exactly the problem is.
