    Default Studio Strangeness

Has anybody ever experienced an issue with studio where upon save certain fields are duplicated / moved overwriting other fields in the layout? I have not been able to pin down what actions cause this behavior but when it does happen repeated re-saves of the layout cause the fields to continue to duplicate over other fields.

The layout displays properly in studio until it is re-opened but the published view reflects the duplicated / moved fields. When this happens the overwritten fields are not available to be re-added until the original is resorted for the layout is edited manually.

So far we have only been working with 4.5.0f running on FC5 with Apache 2.2.0 and PHP 5.1.4. I will be trying this on other platforms later today. It appears that refreshing the studio page after editing / adding rows may resolve this but I can not say that for sure at this point.

    Thanks for the help.

    Exclamation Re: Studio Strangeness

I too am experiencing the same issue. It only happens when I create new Rows, then try to place the fields inside of them. Before I click Save, or Save&Publish, it all appears ok. After I click to save it, they duplicate and replace themselves. The original fields that had existed before the adjustment are just fine, but all the custom fields that were added went awry.

I am running the latest version of Sugar (G version that was recently released) on Apache 2.2.0 and PHP 5.1.4.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm trolling the forums, but have not been successful as of yet.

This is my first post to this forum. I could not figure out where to post. I found this thread the most relevant so I am posting here.

I want to add the webiste field to the Lead Module. But I could not add it using the same variable that is been used to hold the website info in Account Module. If I create a custom field then it is not getting passed on to the Account Module after I convert the Lead.

Can you suggest the method to get rid of this?

    With regards,

    Hello all,

I'm moving this over to the Help section-- it sounds like a bug report may need to be filed.

Yeah, I was fighting with the same issue. It seems as if it has to do with adding more than one row at a time. I finally succeeded by planning my additional fields more carefully i.e. I added one row, added one or two fields, saved, published, checked, added another row and so forth.

    Thumbs up Re: Studio Strangeness

That seemed to work. It wanted to only do one row, like you mentioned, work with it then save. Thanks a ton. So much for me using common sense. Oh well, appreciate the kick to my brain cells and getting me back on the right track!

Yep, I was having the same issue, but the above workaround seems to help. Has there been a bug filed for this?

I don't believe so. I noticed quite a few that were similar to this, and appear to have been noted as being addressed in another release. Should I still go ahead and put it in, and they will note it as a duplicate? Or is the fact that they have addressed it similarly in other posts where I should leave it? Sorry... a N00b at this.

Just wanted to bump this as I encountered the same problems on a Bitrock 4.5f (upgraded to 4.5h) install. I'm trying it doing php, mysql, and then using IIS rather than Apache tonight to see if it makes a difference.
