    Default sub-panel is not visible

    Version: 6.0.2
    OS: Windows XP
    Webserver: Apache 2.0
    PHP: 5.2.5
    Database: MySQL

    My Status: New to CRM

Requirement: I need to add the Contacts subpanel under Campaigns.

Problem: I cannot see the Contacts subpanel when I view a Campaign thru the browser. It is however visible under Campaigns in the SugarCRM Studio.

    Actions Taken:
    1. Verified a 1 to Many relationship between Campaign and Contacts
    2. I have updated the subpaneldefs.php under the Campaigns directory to add 'contacts'
    3. I have added a "ForCampaigns.php" under Contacts\metadata\subpanels

    Possible Alternative:
If I can email an opportunity to a target list, then I can use Opportunity instead of Campaign. Appreciate help on this.

    Status: HELP Needed

    Hi,
the contacts within a campaign are available in the "Target List" Subpanel.
Generate a new target list and select or add all contacts you needed.
Is this the problem you want to solve or why do you need the contacts subpanel "directly" within the campaings menu?

Thanks for getting back. I did not state my problem completely.

I have two categories of contacts, lets say type A and type B.

I want to associate type A to the Campaign under the Contacts subpanel (that I am trying to add).

I want to add type B to the target list to send an email about the Campaign.

Hope that explains my problem. Appreciate any help.

    Hi,
Campaigns do not have any Contacts.
Contacts are together with Leads, Prospects and Users in the Target List and the Target List is attached to the Campaign.

Sorry, but I did not really understand why you need a second list of contacts?
What is the contacts list you named type A is good for?

If you click the View Status Button within the Campaign there you have a 'Contacts created' sub-panel.
Is this the one you need?

I am trying to use the Campaign to capture a Requirement (Opportunity). Contact Type A will be attached as possible resources for the campaign (requirement) whereas the target list will have Contact Type B as the mailing list to whom the campaign (requirement) will be emailed out.

Hope that helps. We are trying to use sugarcrm as a staffing industry tool.

    Hi,
I did some investigations. Once we had to solve a similar problem.
We decided to take also the Target List subpanel.
A second target list was created containing the users of the other type.
Don't know whether this would be suitable for you?
