Subpanel error in installable songs module

I'm going a little nuts with this one: I'm attempting to display songs as a related item in the accounts detail. The song module installs but if you create an account and look at its detail view you get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in F:\apps\xampp\xampp\htdocs\sugar_3\data\SugarBean. php on line 2329

It seems the "$focus" bean is not being set; what am I doing wrong?
