Sugar 5.0.0f - Email module problems...

Hi,

I've got some problems with the Email module in Sugar 5.0.0f and I'm wondering if there's a bug in my installation, in Sugar itself or if its a feature that I don't quite understand. Please help me...

Here are my questions :

1) Whenever I reply to an email FROM Sugar, the reply flag is not set for the email. This only happens when replying with the Sugar mail client. When replying with another mail client (outlook, squirrelmail), the reply flag is set and displayed inside Sugar when syncing messages. Is this a bug with my installation ?
(All mailboxes set up with IMAP)

2) Possibly related to 1) : When replying to an imported email (related to an account or case), the email status in the account`s history is set to "read", not to "replied"... how can I get the status set to "replied" ?

3) When viewing an email related to an account, case, bug, etc., the only action button available is "Delete". Shouldn't there be a "Reply" button too at the very least ?

4) Some emails with accentuated French characters are not displayed properly. For example, I get "Pourrais-tu STP r=E9pondre =E0 la ..." instead of "Pourrais-tu STP répondre à la ..." as I get in SquirrelMail.

The pertinent headers are :
Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1
Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable
X-Mailer: Microsoft Office Outlook 11
X-MIMEOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2900.3198

Is there a problem with the mail client or the installation?

Hi,

I guess it's not your installation but (unfortunately) Sugar's email implementation. I wrote a fairly long list of apparent errors somewhere here and this list is by far not exhaustive.
The problem of text emails disregarding the character set is well known. Re. cases and the related procedures I will have a look later today because I need the functionality for a prospect.

But as I hear there should be some improvements in 5.1 (between RC and GA), that's the reason why the version won't be available before the end of this month.

Is there a list of bugs to be fixed in 5.1 available somewhere ?

But what about the "reply flag" not being set by Sugar Mail. I can't believe a version was release with that bug, so it's gotta be my installation... or is that really a bug too to be fixed in 5.1 ??
