Sugar 6 CE Not Saving Password Management Changes

Sorry for the newbie question, but I just installed Sugar 6 CE and am busy learning and evaluating. I want to manually reset user passwords and not send them by email. I go to Password Management and uncheck "Enable System-Generated Passwords". Sometimes I also uncheck the "Enable Forget Password Feature". Then I click on the Save tab and the screen refreshes back to the Administration Tab. I get neither an error message nor an indication that the save was successful. When I go back into Password Management, I find that the options that I had unchecked are still checked.
Any way to figure out what I'm missing?

I have Sugar installed on CentOS 5/ MySQL 5.0.77/Apache 2.2.3/PHP 5.2.10 and I am accessing it with Firefox 3.5.9.

Solution:

In the SugarCRM root directory, open config.php

Search for

'SystemGeneratedPasswordON' => true,

Change to

'SystemGeneratedPasswordON' => false,
