    Default Sugar Export notworking AT ALL!

    Hi,

    When I select records in th elist view e.g Leads/Accounts and Hit the export button, the app selector window opens showing this file will open with Excel.

    Next, the download window opens and shows the download starting, which never gets going. after a little wait I get this error saying the file could not be read. I can sermise that the query is unable to create an extract and the file is empty.

    PS. I am using Community Edition 5.2.0e

    I would be thankful for any help with this.

    Does this happen in all modules? Have you tried a different browser? How about a different Windows user?

    Yes, I have tried different modules, different browsers, same thing happens.

    I also tried browsing sugar locally on the server. (Iam hosted on a webserver with Plesk8.6).

    I just simply went on the server and browsed the site on the server browser. It was in a long wait then failed, with 'This Page cannot be displayed' ERROR.

    I hit the reload button and got this,

    Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '' (include_path='C:\Inetpub\vhosts\mywebsite.com\sub domains\mycrm\httpdocs\include/..;.;./includes;./pear') in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\mywebsite.com\subdomains\mycrm\h ttpdocs\include\export_utils.php on line 143

    BTW Line 143 is require_once($beanFiles[$bean]);

    I dont know if this is the real error or effect of the Reload button.

    Either way, that error seems to point to a permissions problem. That may indeed be the source of it.

    Double check that your permissions are set correctly then try again.

    as far as I know the permisiions are perfect, worker processes, IWAM_plesk and network service have all the permisiions, also included is the master account for the domain having full permissions, still does not work,

    The only two reasons I know of for such errors are:

    1. The file missing

    2. Permissions problems

    If the referenced file is there, I don't know what else to suggest other than to look at the permissions. I don't know of a circumstance where having the file *and* proper permissions would yield such an error message. I've never seen any such error in Sugar that didn't turn out to be due to either of those situations.

    Thanks for the thoughts Angel,
    This problem is happening on two fresh installs
    Production Intsall=with mysql
    test intall=with MSSQL

    Right now I do not know what is lacking file or permissions.

    For now I may be able to wait as I have a workaround. Hopefully someone else will suggest things too!

    Same here but under Linux (Ub 9.04). The message tells me something about a helper application missing... (which is BS because I do it with other sites all the time)

    But: This seems to be a problem with my local machine because if I try it from a different machine (no matter which OS) it works perfectly.

    And another but: this also happens (albeit rarely) with other sites. It goes so far that on one site/subpage I could retrieve one pdf (in this case) but not on the other subpage.

    I was tracing the error for about a day until it became clear that it definitely is my machine (in combination with Sugar) and then I gave up. Now I save files and open them locally...

    Is there a solution for this problem though? It is becoming a critical issue for me.

    I found the problem but I am not happy!

    I had turned zlib.output.compression = On in PHP.ini and that is what breaks Export function on sugar.

    I took it out and restarted IIS, now everything works.

    The compression was giving me a much needed performance boost, that for now will have to wait, until I know of another method for compression.

    any ideas?
