Sugar import hangs!

I have been working on importing contacts, 51,000 + and the import runs and gets all the contacts in the object and it states that the import is complete, but it never finishes, it just hangs

Any ideas on what i am doing wrong or if I need to do it another way?

Hi Mike

Try to import a minor list, containing around 2K.
Make sure it works properly.

Yes sir it works perfectly on a small import, but hangs on a lot of records.

I checked phpMyadmin and it seems that all the records are being imported into the database, but it still hangs

Maybe it is a timeout error or running out of memory

Yes

We had successfully imported up to 3K at a time, and we had faced issues trying to import a huge list.

Andre thanks for that and sorry for the long post.

So your suggestion to me is to break up the number of records into the number of import files?

So if I have 180,000 + records, then I need to devide that by 3K:

180,000 / 3000 = 60 files

There has to be a better way than this!!
