Sugar, one to many relationships, and Real Estate

Ok, I've gone through the forums and know I can do what I need done, but I don't like the end result. So Im hoping maybe someone has come up with a better solution.

Here is my situation:

I have a contact (real estate agent) linked to an account (his real estate company). I have other accounts for whom this contact is a rep, so I need him to show up in the other companies contact lists. I know this contact can be linked to other accounts via the Accounts Management tab.

The problem Im having when I do this is that a contact's account on the contact info page shows the last account he was linked to as his primary (only) account. What I need when I click on a contact is to see his parent account (his real estate company), which should not change, and the accounts to which he is linked, which may change.

Has anyone implemented such a system in Sugar?

Have you tried this with the Sugar 5.1 beta?

sounds like you need a custom field and relationship that will give this connectivity. The account link in contact is a 1 to many from the account side. You need to create a field that takes the relationship the other way!

Make sure you follow the wiki closely to do this as its rather messy. And make sure you do NOT do this on the production machine! Do not use studio to do anything but create the fields (and do not use the relate data-type unless in 5.1)
