Sugar OS v4.5 installation issues

I'm currently trying to install Sugar OS v4.5. This is on an Apache enabled server that is running on PHP v5.1.4.

In the installation I have run through Step 2, but then the next button is not enabled. I wonder whether its due to one of the following:

#PHP Version: Unsupported PHP Version Installed: ( ver 5.1.4 )......even though the Sugar documentation says this is part of the recommended stack.

#MB Strings Module: Not found: SugarCRM will not be able to process multi-byte characters. This will impact receiving emails in character sets other than UTF-8.......I'm advised that this should not be an issue in my case, but it still remains RED

Any assistance would be appreciated.

You may require to configure your MB String module.

Did you fix this? Perhaps install elsewhere and copy over. dump and restore the db in mysql and copy over the files.
