Sugar Plug Ins for Outlook and Word Not Showing

Hello,

I installed the plugins for Outlook and Word and neither of them are available in their respective programs. I don't see them in customizing the toolbars, don't see the option to set up sugarcrm in outlook, nothing. It is like I dind't even install them.

The plug-ins may have been disabled.

For the Outlook Plugin, go to:
Help --> About Microsoft Office Outlook --> Disabled Items

Enable any reference of SugarCRM.

The process should be the same for Microsoft Word.

I have seen similar things also. The plugin works fine after I install it, but seems like it goes away, typically after a reboot. When I go and reinstall, it asks if I want to update, I choose yes. Start up outlook, and plugin is back. Nothing in disabled items in outlook.

Some more info on this topic... I am using Vista and outlook 2003. Everything works fine until my machine is rebooted, then sugar plugin does not show up in outlook. The registry entries are still there under the addin section of outlook.

Having similar issues - the plug in disappears. It does show up in "Disabled Items" and is restored when that is corrected.

The question I have is - what is causing this to happen? Can we avoid it?

Running Outlook 2003 on exchange, with Sugar Community Edition 4.5.1d (running on VMware appliance environment)......

Same problem here. I was using Outlook 2003 on XP SP2. Almost every day I had to re-install the sugar plug-in. I got a new machine, Vista with Outlook 2007. It worked fine for several months, but now the same problem. Almost every day I have to re-install the sugar plug-in. Sugar Options does not show up under "Tools". Sugar does not show up on the list of toolbars. Im using 451F_71, but this problem has persisted through several upgrades.

I hate to say "me too", but it just started happening to me too.

I am using Outlook 2007 on Vista. The Outlook Plug-In worked fine for months and then has started to disappear.

If I look in Tools, Trust Center, Add-ins, the SugarOutlook.Connect add-in is active.

Things I have noticed:
- What is odd is that if I open Contacts in a New Window the toolbar is there.
- If I open an email and click on Add-Ins, Archive to Sugar is there and works
- I do NOT have SugarCRM Options on the Tools menu any longer

We are using Sugar 4.5.1 and I downloaded and installed Outlook Plug-In 4.5.1f_71.exe

Me too.
I'm on Windows XP, Outlook 2007.

I had the 30-day trial running; it expired; maybe that's the cause.
I had to reinstall Outlook sometime around then; maybe that's the cause.

But regardless of the cause, now I re-install the 30-day trial and nothing shows up.

I searched the registry for "sugar"; ther are some keys in there, not sure which does what though.

This thread's been going a long time with no answer.

I fixed it by
* finding SugarOutlook in Control Panel, Add Remove programs
* clicking Change (it did some magic and said "successfuly installed")
* stopping and restarting Outlook.
Now I see the sugar toolbar again in Outlook.

Hope this helps somebody.

where do i find the sugar plugin? I am looking all over my portal and Ican seem to locate where to get the plugin for word and outlook"?
