    Default Sugar Portal

I am using Window xp, Sugar 4.5 and xampp. I am having trouble install mambo and sufar portal. I also need to install the same on two Linux workstations.

I decided to start on Windows first. I can not create the portal userid to be portal only, it is greyed out. I can not upload mambo 4.6.1, I am getting the folloring message: The zip file is missing a manifest.php file. Cannot proceed. I am getting this for anything I try to upload via the modules, themes, the portal, and mambo. I only thinkg that did upload was forms.

    Can somemone help.

    Thanks you
    Dee

If you are using Open Source Sugar 4.5 - and the Mambo Portal which offers cases and bugs - I do not believe that project is anything like up to date with the 4.5 release. SugarCRM started this project, but seem to have decided to abandon it these days. Some users seemed to want to bring it up to date, but that effort too seems to have been abandoned.

More recently, SugarCRM have developed SugarPortal, which is available only to customers of Sugar Pro and Enterprise, at additional cost. It currently only offers Cases capability, but has a framework designed to support additional capabilities in future revisions.

I am using SugerOpenSource 4.5 on all three systems. What would you recommend it use in the place of Sugar Portal.

Also could not upload Zucker Docs, but could upload Zucker Reports. I also want to know if the php timesheet would work in open source?

    Thank you

I don't believe there is another product/project currently available for use as a customer portal with Sugar OS. At The Long Reach, we have our Customer Portal that works with Info At Hand, our commercial superset of Sugar OS. http://infoathand.com/iah_portal.html

For Zucker Docs, all I can suggest is ensuring that the downloadable module is compatible with the precise revision of Sugar OS you are using (i.e. not 4.5, but 4.5.0e, or whatever you are using).

On any of the Zucker Docs downloads I am getting a manifest.php error.

Would love to use the portal listed above but for one I am using opensource and it looks like I would have to pay for Info At Hand and I am just getting my company started.
