    Unhappy SUGAR - so SLOW - - - - why?

It takes anywhere from 30 to 50 seconds every time I click something on sugar. At this rate if I do 40 clicks that's 40 min. What a waste of time.

    Why is SUGAR SO SLOW?

    Thanks

i don't feel is slow for me, but if something slow there are many other issue will cause it. You may try to check:

    1. RAM speed & size
    2. HDD speed and free space
    3. Processor speed
    4. Program that run concurrently on that machine or server
    5. The LAN/WAN speed

There still be more other will affect, but all is just my personal suggestion

Oh, I am a new admin so you mean to say that Sugar is hosted on the server of our choice? Meaning it is not hosted by SugarCRM?

    Thanks for your reply.

Sugar, in and of itself, is definitely not a slow running software. It takes very little resources on a standard server. The speed of the response time is related to any number of external reasons.

First, I suggest you find out where you sugar is hosted. It could be on a Sugar server but it could be at your location or at a remote location.

Once you know where it is you may be able to identify the problem. It could be, as mentioned above, the equipment. It could be the amount of data stored on the server. It could be simply that a loop of some sort is slowing your server. Sometimes a simple apache restart can fix the problem, if you are running on a LAMP stack. And, it could simply be your own internet connectivity.

Those are some areas to look into to correct your issue.
