    Default Sugar and web servers

    Hi!

Can someone tell me if sugar does work with a diferent server than Apache? Or do I really need to get Apache installed?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Sugar is a "normal" PHP application and wil run with every webserver that supports PHP.
So you should be able to use Apache, IIS, Lighttpd, Zeus, ... actually mostly all webservers.

But Sugar comes with some .htaccess files.
The .htaccess files will define the behavior of Apache when the user is accessing certain folders.
The syntax of those .htaccess files is specific to Apache und only a few other webserver do support it as well.

But Sugar will work without those .htaccess files as well.
Which webserver did you want to use?

    Cheers

I'll try to use it with IIS, so hopefully it will work.
