SugarCRM 6 - Changing Color Scheme - Support for Inbound POP3 Email

Hi,

I've upgraded to 6.0 CE and the purple color scheme matched my logo very well however in 6.0 there is no option to change the colour scheme as far as I can see.

Since it is using the 5.x theme redubbed 'Classic' i suspect its not that difficult to select the purple css file.

Any advice would be great.

I've got the same issue with color, it looks like the sweet little 'Page Style' link in the upper right in Sugar 5.x that I've come to know and love is gone?

I understand they want to have a difference between Pro,Ent and CE but to lose such a simple feature seems a bit odd to me. That is unless its been removed from Pro and Ent aswell.

The feature has not been removed per se.

One can still create custom themes to provide a variety of them like in past versions. You can also install new ones that others (community at large) create. This is done via the Admin control panel.

Anyway, what has changed is that Sugar no longer packages more than 1 theme for 6 whereas in the past, they had a habit of packaging several. The second issue is that it does not appear to recognize existing themes well (or at all). I don't know if the second was intended or a bug, either way, very annoying.

I copied the sugar5 folder and created a new one and updated the .php file etc which is now displayed on the theme selection screen. I then spent 30 mins doing a find replace on all the css files to swap out the standard blue colors with my own.

It has made no difference at all. Done all the usual (restart browser, different browser etc.)

Is there a step I missed?

Sorted, renamed the bgPurple.gif ,bgPurpleBtn.gif etc to overwrite the original blue images.

Looks great now.
