    Default SugarCRM Express

    I have a client running SugarCRM Express (hosted by Sugar), now no longer offered as a service by Sugar.

    They wish to migrate to Community Edition ... does anyone have any insights into how to get the database from Sugar?

    If you are allowed to install something like sugardev.net tools, you can make a backup just like you can from Sugar files.

    If not, you can request it from Sugar directly. Data remains in possession of the client (at least, in my country it does)

    Hi there -

    Just to clarify, Sugar is still supporting and hosting Sugar Express. We are happy to keep them as hosted customers until their contract expires and beyond, should they chose to remain Sugar customers.

    That being said, if they decide to move over to our community edition then (or at any time), we will happily provide a copy of their data. All they need to do is request one from support. If they are unsure as to how to go about that, please have them contact our Customer Advocacy Group at 408.792.6872 and someone will be happy to walk them through that request.

    I was a bit surprised to see that Express has been taken off the SugarCRM website? I cannot find any more info, but I guess it was discontinued a few months ago?
