SugarCRM hangs for ..... a ..... very ..... long ..... time

Hi,

Sugar 5.2.0l CE, XAMPP 1.7.4b2 on Windows (Apache 2.2.17, PHP 5.3.3, MySQL 5.5.8).

Well, upgrading to SugarCRM 5.2 worked after grappling with the silent updater. On the other hand, after the upgrade, SugarCRM hangs and does not produce any (obvious) output for 30-40 seconds, then produces the page -- load times almost 50 times that of our live installation.

It's not the hardware; I've seen load times faster than those of our live install on my upgrade hardware. What's going on here?

Go to the admin section, look for Sugar updates and remove the checkmarks there, This should solve it.
