    Default SugarCrm mail and nordic special characters

    Hello,

    We are experience problems with the nordic characters. I include a screendump of how the nordic characters (a least the ones we use in Denmark) looks like.

    When ever emails are received or send from SugarCRM (version 4.2.0a.) the nordic characters are omitted to question marks or other wird characters which makes the readiing of the message near to impossible!

    I include another screendump of the resulting email send from SugarCrm to SugarCrm. Notice that the subject should have shown the nordic characters as seen in the first attachment. And in the content part of the email message the nordic characters have been "translated" to question marks.

    Any help on this topic is very much appreciated

    Hi,

    I have the same problem with french characters...
    ie:

    original message:

    "Dans l'attente, veuillez agréer, Monsieur, l'expression de nos salutations
    distinguées."

    received message in SugarCRM 4.2.0d

    "Dans l'attente, veuillez agr?, Monsieur, l'expression de nos salutations
    distingu?."

    Hej Henrik,

    I pointed out this problem on April 6, 2006. Up until now, after every patch that comes from Sugar, I have to comment out the two lines which are mentioned in this thread:

    After that, it works fine again.

    Obviously, the folks at Sugar are not willing to do anything about it. But - the thread mentioned above is going to help you.
