    Default Is SugarCRM For Me?

I currently have a piece of junk File Maker Pro database and I am thinking of getting the Pro version of SugarCRM. Right now I am doing a little testing with the open source version.

Basically my company sells a book & holds seminars for medical doctors. We need to store all the basic information about the leads including what products they have purchased and what events they have attended. Multiple people need to access the database at the same time as well.

Is SugarCRM a good "out of the box" solution for my company?

    Hi!

I think that you can use SugarCRM.
You can always customize it. Sure if you want to buy Pro version you can do it but really cheaper to customize and redevelop OS version.

    Hi there,

You can check out the differences between the editions (Open Source, Professional, Enterprise) by following this link and also by listening to this short podcast.

One of the benefits of purchasing SugarCRM Pro is the set of "extras" you get (beyond the increased functionality): customer support, Sugar University, and the Sugar Adoption Program (elements of it are available to OS folks but there are more areas for Pro and Enterprise customers) are two of them. If you need to make customizations to the system to make it fit your business needs, you can customize it yourself, have SugarCRM's Professional Services group do the work, or have one of the many companies/contractors who regularly post to this forum do the work for you.

Best of luck in your research. Let us know if you have any questions!
