Default SugarCRM & mySQL issue - can't log in

I've been running the Sugar appliance for a couple of weeks now, and really like the feature set. I have become quite reliant upon it.

It was working on Wednesday when I left for the Thanksgiving (USA) break. However, this morning I am not able to log into SugarCRM at all. At first, I was able to get to the login, but it would not accept any login (admin, or either of two users). After restarting the appliance, I can't even get to the SugarCRM login screen.

I am also unable to get to the rAA admin page. The only things that seem to work is going to the root of the webserver (where you have buttons to go to the rAA admin or SugarCRM - but they don't work), and I can log in as root at the test prompt of the appliance.

Attempting to go to the SugarCRM login gives me:
"Could not connect to server localhost [or the ip address if from a different machine] as sugarcrm. Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/srv/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)"

The MySQL service appears to be running (ie: "service mysqld status" returns "running").

Attempting to launch the rAA admin page just returns a "page cannot be displayed" error.

A few specs - this is running on VMware server version 1.0.1 build-29996, and it is the SugarCRM appliance v4.5.0b

I've tried accessing this from multiple machines, running both Internet Explorer (and I tried flushing the cache), as well as FireFox, with similar results.

Any thoughts? I'd really like to get this back up and running!

I thought I had replied to this before, so my apologies for the long delay.

I am guessing that you are out of space on your vmware image. You can tell by running 'df -h' when you are logged in as root.

Then you can find instructions to create a new disk here:

I am having the same problem. The appliance run great for a week and then suddenly one morning I can't access it anymore.

The sugar login is giving the following error:
Could not connect to server localhost as sugarcrm. Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/srv/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)
The administrators login is given page not displayed.

I checked also that Mysql was running and now I am stuck.
