SugarCRM numbers in Lakhs and Crores

Hi!

We're using SugarCRM in India. Here in India, we count money in tens of thousands and not hundreds of thousands. We have a unit called "Lakh" which is equivalent to a 100,000 and usually written as 1,00,000. Similarly, we have a unit called 'crore' which is equivalent to 100 Laks and 1 crore is written as: 1,00,00,000.

Is it possible to configure SugarCRM to show numbers in Lakhs and Crores instead of 100 thousands and millions? That will be a great help for us since we are used to seeing numbers in that way. Any pointer on how to change the number format for money figures will enable us to use SugarCRM more effectively.

Hi Abhas!

Unfortunately SugarCRM doesn't support money format you are talking about.
There is functionality where you will see ',' every 1000 so you have to develop custom functionality.

Thank you so much for taking the time out to reply back! Would you be able to provide any inputs on to get started with this customisation? If we can get some basic pointers, then we'll be glad to code such an extension and contribute it back.
