SugarCRM Professional on-site trial

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to try SugarCRM Professional/Enterprise on-site ? I only see an on-demand trial.

I want to see if my server matches all the requirements and also I want to have a further use because I can't with the on-demand trial which is filled with examples.

Contact the Sugar sales department. They should be able to provide you with an on site demo you can use.

Are the sugar pro/ent set up and requirements the same as sugar community ? if so, I could install the community edition instead.

Not exactly. I've recently come across a scenario where I noticed a clear difference in the amount of memory required by each. Professional seems to require more memory than Community, although, I am not sure how much more.

I was getting out of memory errors doing simple things on an environment with 64MB and one which Community Edition is able to use without error. My problems went away after moving Professional to an environment with 512MB of memory. I am sure it doesn't require that much, but it certainly requires more than 64MB. I know that in the past, some Sugar folks have suggested 128 MB, so that might be the magic number for Professional.
