SUGARCRM vs. ......

I am creating this thread because I am trying to research the differences in the capabilities of the free version of SugarCRM vs.V T iger CRM. - to ultimately decide whether or not it is worth it to upgrade to the paid version of Sugar


FIRST I WILL OUTLINE HOW MY CURRENT CRM WORKS (not sugar - not VT iger - but rather an expensive paid solution) :
THIS WILL GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF WHAT I AM TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH AND HOPEFULLY YOU CAN TELL ME IF THIS IS POSSIBLE WITH SUGAR OR V T iger:

1. Webform collects leads and emails from website and enters as leads into SUGAR CRM
2. I create 12 predesigned monthly email newsletters and set them to go out monthly in the future as "email drip campaigns
(12 emails for a monthly newsletter all setup in advance.)
3. I setup an email drip campaign to go out on the 1st of the month AUTOMATICALLY - keyword - "automatically" - this means I do not have to login and select anything after I have designed the emails, and set them up to go out automatically in the future.

NOW HERE COMES THE HARD PART - ARE YOU THINKING FREELY - LIKE A PHILOSPHER?

4. The Sugar CRM will automatically look at the leads section and send these emails out AUTOMATICALLY (whatever emails exist in the leads section will be sent out AUTOMATICALLY)
5. There is an opt out link on the emails which (when clicked) automatically removes the client from the monthly email newsletter campaign

SIMPLE RIGHT? Well, after calling the SUGARCRM sales staff today, I found out, not so simple apparentley, or was I just talking to the wrong person?


So the question, can the free version of Sugar CRM setup predesigned newsletters 12 months in advance and send them out automatically with out having to login every month and select which people get the newsletter. This is a simple yes or no answer - the complexity of this question will lead to thousands of what ifs, but it always comes back to - can it do the aformentioned. I need to have it just send out to all of the people in the leads section. simple. can it do it? yes or no? This is hands off marketing, autopilot, etc, I don't have time to do this every month. Thats why it is so important.

Does ...... free version do this effectively?

Hi,

Yes you can setup Sugar Emails campaigns to automatically run for the next 12 months.

The only issue afaiaa is that you would need to add any new leads manually to the lead list.
