There are very many factors at play in diagnosing performance and apart from the fact that it's beta software, you have told us nothing about your environment or previous experience running sugarcrm.
Doing so might enable better assistance
Apache/2.2.3 (Debian) PHP/5.2.0-8+etch11 MySQL 5.0.32

Hello. This is related to what Kurt has posted http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showt...ht=portal+slow. I was assigned just now as his team mate and these are the details that I know regarding our installation:
We have a SugarCRM Enterprise Edition 5.5 RC4 (I know T_T but it was specified by the client so we have no choice)
It's hosted on linux CentOS 5.3 Final Release to be exact. It has : Php 5.2.6, Apache 2.2.3, and mysql server version 5.0.58.
Everything is slow (as in > 5 secs). When we go to the URL, it's slow. When we log in or register it's slow.
I read a post in the forums that bypassing SOAP might be a good solution, by communicating directly to the database, but it will destroy the business logic. I'm supposed to try this in our dev server which is a different stack, but upon installing the Portal, we get stuck @ Step #3 telling us that we have to check the parent instance. I'm very sure that the parent instance is working. I also tried tesing Soap.php and it gave out the correct XML file. I tried finding solutions for this but found no clear answers.
We're now downloading the Stable VErsion to test it out against SugarCRM Enterprise Edition 5.5 RC4 hoping that it will work.
Please help us...![]()
Issue already resolved..
SugarPortal domain should have access to external sites.
Thanks.
