Post Field Level Access Control for SugarPro 6.0.3

I would like to create a role ("field level access") that can be assigned to a team that will give them full control of the Accounts module as specifically filtered by a keyword search in the salesperson field. I currently have this team assigned a "read-only" role that allows them to just view all Accounts, Contacts, Leads and Opportunities modules.

I saw that SugarForge recommends installing the extension "field level access control." However, I only found that it applies to Sugar versions 5.0, 5.1 and 5.2.

Will this still work for version 6.0 or above?
Is this the right module extension to use in my case?
Will there be any conflict with "read-only" and "field level access" roles assigned to the same team?

    My information:

    Sugar Version 6.0.3
    Sugar Professional
Category: create role specific to Accounts module (salesperson field)
    OS: Windows 7

    Any help is much appreciated,
    Tim

    Hello,

As you have specified your Sugar Flavour to be "Professional", it already has field level security. Use that instead of any third party tool. And Role is assigned at user level, so you will need to select each user of the same team to assign that role.
    Thumbs up.

    davidboris,

Thanks for your help. I found the field level access security I can adjust. I may have to re-assign team ownership for certain accounts to restrict a specific team from primarily deleting/editing any of the fields.

I have an Architectural team and Industrial team. Architectural should only have the ability to delete/edit accounts that come up when performing an advanced search for CE (in the salesperson field). At the same time, Architectural should only have read-only access (cannot delete/edit) for accounts assigned to the Industrial team.
