Summary field

Hi,

I have formerly used SF as a CRM, but have now changed to Sugar CRM.

In SF you could add a custom "roll-up" summary field to, for example, sum all line items i the related module to an Invoice.

Is there any way to do this with Sugar? I have tried to search and read on forums, blogs etc - but I cant find a good and simple answer.

Not that I know of this feature but it is a pending request of some of our customers to be added to our reporter. We will add this within one of the next releases allowing a user to add a summary line in dashlets or subpanels that are created with the reporter. Read the releasenotes on Release 2.7.1 pages 18ff on how we can publish reports as Dashlets or Subpanels. If you are willing to contribute we can accelerate this development for you.

For this, I used logic_hook with SQL query, it's very simple, if you want to have summary field.
