Sync to Outlook all contacts still NO answer

I have read the forum up and down and why does anyone including SUGAR fix this or have a answer

How on earth do you snyc all contacts with out checking the little box or on the mass up date

I am a salesforce user with 20k contacts and 200 new ever day

Why is it so hard ? NOTE to the sugar people if you want people to move to your PRO or even open make things easy

This is a function that everyone needs ?

OK, Not telling you anything that you don't already know here but there isn't anyway in the current GUI to set 20,000 contacts to sync all at once. And it's doesn't look like there is going to be a way in 5.0 either then you need to find a developer and get a little piece of code that either just makes syncing the default when a new record is saved, or does a one step mass update for the syncing field (not really a field, more of a relationship).

IMHO this would be much better done by exporting data from sugar and importing it into outlook. Not sure how SOAP would react to a 20,000 object sync request. Bet it would time out a few times. Not sure how outlook would handle 20,000 contacts either. I only have about 1,000 maybe and it chokes alot.

This is the 1st thing I did is load 1000 contacts per page but the system errors out because it is taking too long

If there is a mod I can do to there is not time out cap that might fix the problem

You could change the timeout in your php.ini file but it is still going to be a ssllooww transfer and it's going to munch memory so you may want to increase the memory settings as well.
