Is there a syncml plug-in of sorts that would allow sugar to be sync'd with a syncml server?

I believe the closest would be this: http://www.funambol.com/
There used to be a Sugar connector for it, but I haven't looked at it recently to know if it has been updated or maintained.

ok, I'll dig into it. We use this for our blackberrys.
The connector is still in development but only lets you sync with funabol server. Our mailserver is a syncml server and I want to get the calendar items synced between the two. Thanks for the reply anyway.
No problem. Thanks for closing the loop.![]()

I think this is what you are looking for?

The funambol stuff is its own server - with quite a heavy and complex install.
This is just a loadable module for Sugar - and voila - your Sugar server now talks syncml directly.

Close, I dont want to make our sugar server a syncml server, I just want a client plugin for sugar so I can sync it with a syncml server.
Seems an odd goal for two reasons:
1 - Sugar is a server not a client. On client software like outlook - it is clear where the plug-in goes. On a server, all you can do is an add-on module - and that is what this is.
2 - A syncml server is only there to sync with clients - and this Sugar add-on module lets you sync to those clients from Sugar directly - without an additional syncml server. So I'm not sure what you could be missing here - except the heavy syncml server - and yet you get all the functionality without the 'weight'.
If this were a beer it would be less filling, and yet taste great
Let's you sync Sugar calendar and contact info to BlackBerry, iPhone, Outlook, etc ... as all of them have syncml clients or plug-ins.
