Out of frustration, I've finnally given read/write/execute permisiions to everyone on the entire Sugar folder. Yet this does not seem to allow me to save changes to the system settings.
Why is this??

Has anyone else had this problem?
Our System Settings are not being saved either. We're using SugarCRM OS 4.5.1b.
Everything else seems to be working fine... we're just getting things set up, but so far haven't noticed any other bugs or non-functional systems.
Any help would be appreciated. Our version of SugarCRM was installed by our technical team, who generally have a pretty good idea of what they're doing. We're a technology house, and there were no errors or problems during the install.
So, it's only the System Settings that are not being saved. Everything else works fine.
Jmagauri, were you able to solve the problem? If so, can you do a quick note to say how?
Thanks!
This advise only applies to linux, since noone follows the directions and gives their system info (OS, versions and the like) I am going to assume you are using Linux
It looks like he gave 777 permissions to the SugarCRM directory. You have to do this if the directory and it's contents are owned by a user OTHER than the user that is running your apache (another assumption). For example if the user running apache is 'nobody' and all your directories and files are owned by root you have a problem. There is a document here that explains it all.
