Task Automation

At my company we have a requirement for the automation of task creation. Example as follows.

Day 1:Customer signs up
Day 3: Welcome Call to Customer
Day 4: Perform inital service
Day 11: Perform secondary service
Day 21: Start contract full
Day 56: Send inital subscription invoice
Day 100: Follow Up call
etc.

This type of interaction goes on for a 12 month contract and certain tasks are completed by different people. I estimate that we perform between 75 and 80 individual jobs per customer, obviously to create these as individual tasks would be as labour intensive as doing the actual work. Does anyone know of a suitable module that can create a "template" of a customers project and then create and assign each task according to various variables?

You might be able to use workflows if you are using the pro version of sugar

You might want to look here. Goldmine has facilities to do what you are asking about. It is obviously not Sugar-related or compatible. But, I think it would do what you are asking for.

I'm using Process Mananger ( http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/processmanager/ ) successfully for functions triggered by change or creation, such as sending a thank you message and scheduling a follow up call or task when a new web lead is created, you can also schedule a follow up 'chain' of tasks and calls, very usefully.

If you're still interested in automatic task creation - I've written a logic_hook to create 12 tasks when a new Case is entered. This was to satisfy a client who had a set number of tasks and didn't want to manually create them each time.
