Hi folks

We are new to sugar with my wife's business hoping to put it to good use as we build up interaction with new clients etc

Whilst the others in the team are all interacting with clients etc, I'm in the background doing the tech stuff

So far we are setting up new clients as projects in sugar. Work I have assigned to me is being created as project tasks.


In the past there has been all sorts of methods of letting me know stuff needs doing be it email, phone call, bit of paper etc, so my wife as overall owner wants then project task system used


I guess my query is how can the system be set up to let me know say a new task has been assigned to me - we basically all work from our own homes and use Skype email phone a lot to talk. And then say I have a query about something, would I assign an update or something back to one of the others for further info


Originally I thought of using private areas of our phpbb forum, only we can see. That always shows when threads have had updates, and you can subscribe to threads and forums so you are informed of updates fairly quickly.

Is there something in sugar that can do something similar ???


Thanks for reading and hope someone might have an answer or idea re this.

Oh and I don't have a problem with delving into code and trying and testing stuff. It's something I've enjoyed doing for years
