    Default teams in professional 5.2.0d

    hi.

    i'm trying to work out how to assign accounts/leads/opportunities/contacts to more than one team.

    we are still setting up sugar professional. i am finding it hard to get answers on team-related questions, as the teams addin seems different in sugar ce.

    we have a sales area and development area.
    proposed teams are:
    - anz sales
    - anz dev
    - apac sales
    - anz support

    an account or contact can be involved in more than one team (eg sales team sell them software, dev team builds them a website), so everyone needs to have access to all accounts and contacts.

    the opportunities can definitely be assigned to a team - they are either a sale or a dev project.
    the sales team doesn't need to know the dollar value of a dev project, and vice versa.
    although maybe they should be able to list opportunites, but not see the dollar amount.

    so how do i give everyone access to all accounts and contacts?

    do i assign everyone to all teams, or do i need to create a global team, assign everyone to it, and always assign the global team to all contacts and accounts?

    then the opportunities can be assigned to a sales or dev team, for reporting.

    and i can use roles to control access to the amount fields.

    i have another custom field called sector, to further divide the anz sales team into industries.

    is it possible to produce funnel reports based on a custom field, or is it always team based?

    Hi !
    You can create a team lets call 'Sales Support Dev team ' and select all user of four team into this new team.
    Assign only those record to this new team(Sales Support Dev team) what you want to share with all user of four team you mentioned below .

    yes you can create report based on custom fields (only in Pro sugarCRM )
