    Default TeamsOS - Private Teams

I'm confused a little with the TeamsOS module. It has support for both public and private teams. Now, to me, I was expecting...

    1. Public team. The team will appear in the Assigned to Team drop down for everyone. As such, re-assignment can be done effectively when something needs to be passed from one team to another.

    2. Private team. Would only appear in the drop down if you are a member of that team.

Except... it doesn't seem to work that way. I'm getting the behaviour from (2) no matter what the private team option is set to. Which leads me to the questions....

    1. Is this a bug or...

    2. If this is not a bug, is there a way I can quickly get the behaviour I'm looking for? And...
    3. Also, if it's not a bug, what exactly does a private team achieve?

Many thanks in advance for any help...

EDIT - I notice now there's a "Show all teams" options for users.... but that just turns it on its head. Users can now see all teams in the drop down, including private teams they're not a member of.

Ah, wait, also... lol.... what's the motivation behind the team installer performing the team creation/default/updates across modules not performing the same actions for an admin user as it does for everyone else? I can change the code easily enough, but pondered why it should be that way...

    Anyone?

In short... still don't see what difference a "private" team makes and still unclear as to why the teamsinstaller does not tackle admin users/admin entries...

    Cheers,

as I see, private teams differs from public in below things:
records of private teams are accessible for: 1. administrators, 2. assigned users, 3. team members
records of public teams are accessible for: 1. administrators, 2. assigned users, 3. team members, 4. reported to user of user, assigned to record and reported to of reported to and so on till top user.

So public groups looks for ierarhy, when private not.

Public groups doesn't make record to be visible for all users. If your user see this record, look doesn't he in one of listed user types.
