Default Text area alignment in sugarcrm 5.0.0c

I am trying to add a custom field to a subpanel in Accounts but the box is completely misaligned (see attachment). In older versions I could edit the Editview.html but apparently this behavior is much more complicated these days. I just upgraded from version 4.0.0 and am having trouble getting everything to look how it should. how do I get that box placed where it should be - aligned the same as the billing address information.

Bump....Can anyone just tell me where the change is that needs to be made to get this box aligned with the rest of the address boxes? If I move the field to a new panel the alignment is right, just in this subpanel it is not. Anybody?

    Hi, Jeffrey

    Do you know customCode?
You can add a customCode for specifying where to put this field.

    Cheers.

It should be sufficient to go to "Studio"->"Accounts"->"EditView"/"DetailView"
Click the "Minus"( - ) Symbol on your Field, Sugar automatically adds a "filler" to prevent this mis-alignment.

    Did you try that before?

Was optimistic, but alas my box still looks like the original picture and in studio it looks like this:

Even stranger, if I put 'city' in the 2nd column in studio, when I browse to the create account page, I have city in the third column.

Maybe your "custom/modules/accounts/*view.php" file is messed up.
    Try deleting and recreating it.
Did you change anything by hand?

I just built pretty much the same thing and it works as described.

removed all the editviewdefs.php I could find for accounts and restarted httpd. Went into studio and the editview layout was back to default. I added a new row above the default Billing and Shipping addresses and 3 rows below. Then I put in my 'store address field. Same result. The label for store address is correct, but the data entry box is over in the 2nd column as the original picture showed. I have not modified anything by hand. The only difference I see is that my store addres field is a text area whereas billing and shipping are text fields and grouped fields.

Any other thoughts on this? Man, if I am having a problem like this and nobody out there can help its pretty discouraging! I cannot understand why I would need to use custom code for this simple of a task. My 'store address' field lines up fine when in any other panel. But, when I put it, or anty other field in the address information subpanel in accounts, they are misaligned. could it be because of the grouped address fields in there by default?

Also, can we create our own grouped fields like billing and shipping address?
