Text field after pulldown menu

I have a small question off something is possible.

We will create a dropdown menu with the options yes and no.
When the option yes is choosen there must be a text field visible where i can put some text.
If the option No is selected there is no text field displayed.

This is a small and simple example to explain the question i have. In our sugar crm the list have more options and there are more constraints for displaying something. But when then yes or no option could be, then i can figure it out for more options.

The question is f this is possible and how or where i have to look

not right now. There is no option for dependent fields. They promised that for version 5.5 and it will come out in June. We will see if this is working then. I want to have it in dropdown as well. We have segment lists and if you choose a segment i want to have the related sub segment dropdownlist and not all sub segments.

yes that is the same issue, that must we have also, but it's the same logica
