Themes not working in 6.1.0

I recently upgraded sugar crm product from 5.2.0 to 5.5.1 and then to 6.1.0. In the 6.1.0 the themes features is no longer working. When I click on Administration - > Themes. The page displays only 2 list boxes. Enabled list box shows a record as classic and there is nothing else rendered. I also see Save and Cancel button. Nothing else apart from this. The user cannot select any themes any more. I tried click on the user name displayed next to welcome text. The user page does not showfacility for selecting a theme either. What do I need to do to get the theme feature working?

Since 6.0, there is only one theme in Sugar Community.
New themes are available in PRO and ENT versions.

The themes feature is still available in 6.x CE version too. But there is only one theme (Sugar5 / "Classic Theme") delivered with Sugar 6.x CE.
The administrator sees all the themes available in the sugar installation. If there are more than one themes he can decide if normal users are allowed to change their theme settings and which of the installed themes are selectable for them. If there is no choice for normal users the theme-tab in their setting does not appear (but it does automatically if there is a choice).

To use this feature you could do the following:
- create an own theme (e.g. copy Sugar5-Theme and modify it to get whatever you like)
- get an 6.x CE theme from elsewhere. In sugarforge there is at least one theme available to download (aqua theme).

Aqua themes is so charged its not clean. The left menu thats so much space if we have screen of 13 inches. But The Icons are good.

The default themes has poor icons, and a lot of lines that its not posible to see it clean and soft.

CAN somebody share a simple, clean theme for sugarcrm Community Edition version 6.1 ? Or teach how keep the Defualt menu structure with the icons of Aqua themes?

More Themes would be good ... although I notice that not only when we UPgraded to Sugar 6.1 CE from 5.5 CE, not only did we "lose some themes", but on Pg 25 of the "CE Application Guide", there is a feature for pull-down Menus that is "available for all themes EXCEPT classic".
It is feeling like we have DOWNgraded to 6.1 instead of UPgraded ... and I am wondering if there is a plan to REMOVE functionality from CE in order to "incentivize" (force?) users to buy the PAID editions. I asked my Tech to call Sugar & inquire about the price of the Pro edition, and he was told that the CE version is a "Developer Edition that was not made for the general public". Hmmmm Community Edition that is Generally Available ... I DO love Sugar but right now we are not exactly getting the "warm fuzzies" about having upgraded. :-)

I agree - are there any community developers out there working on themes for 6.1? Having themes for the CE version would be awesome as the classic theme is very basic looking. I also spotted the reference in the manual which states

Sugar provides a pull-down menu, located to the far right on the module navigation bar that you can use to view sets of modules under groups, such as Sales, Marketing, Activities, and so on. This feature is available in all Sugar themes, except the “Classic” theme.

That's such a shame - its almost as if Sugar are removing more and more functionality from CE version - it would be nice to know if there is a real future for the CE version.
