There is no way to attach a document, no browse button

I go to an account, click on create note or attachment, look at the full form, and see the field labeled Attachment. However, its just a text field. no browse button, nothing. Im using the newest version of the self hosted Sugar CRM opensource. If i do type text in there and then review the note in details view, the text i put in there turns to a hyperlink with a Remove button next to it. if you click the link, you get "invalid reference"

Can anyone help?

Please post the exact version of Sugar and PHP that you are using.

What you are describing sounds like an incompatibility with the 5.2.9 version of PHP and older versions of Sugar.

I think it is caused by your browser.
which browser are you using, is there any strange addon installed in you browser?

The exact version of PHP is:

5.2.6.1

and the version of SugarCRM is:

Version 5.2.0e (Build 5626)

Additionally, its not a browser issue, ive tried multiple browsers and inspected the HTML that renders, there is no button for browsing

It might be a PHP configuration issue.

I think you may be misuderstanding my question. The fact is that there is no button on the attachment field, not that i am having any trouble attaching the document, i cant even see a button that would allow me to browse my pc for a file. Any help on this one?
